Resource Description

April Showers Theme Count and Graph with Differentiation, Make my Own Surveys

Print and go, little preparation is required.

Each activity has a color page to count and graph, as well as different problems in black and white.

Color pages may be laminated or put in plastic sleeves for use with dry makers for reusable math centers.

The black and white pages are intended to be used by students.

Both options may be used with grayscale printing.

Differentiation options include recording with objects, recording on a student page, using the counting pages, or using paper cubes or cards for independent graphing.

Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.

The make my own survey section has a directions page, three different surveys, pages for creating the results on graphs, and a generic option for student use. These pages will help students work towards the grade one 1.MD.C.4 standard.

Represent and interpret data.

Organize, represent, and interpret data with up to three categories; ask and answer questions about the total number of data points, how many in each category, and how many more or less are in one category than in another.
